KDE 4.12 available

The Community of KDE announced the latest update for the 4.X branch of the popular Desktop Environment: KDE 4.12.

About 20 bug fixes as well as various optimizations have been made to various subsystems, including KNewStuff, KNotify4, file management and more.

Among the applications that include improvements is the text editor KATE, for which you can develop plugins in Python much easier.

I think Debian will also have it on its dedicated KDE backport.

HAHAHAHA, I love your positive side.

that is, your positive thinking 😉

Well, if there is something that cannot be updated, the official backports are used. And it is thanks to them that I have stayed in Debian.

Debian is updating KDE very well in Testing !, 4.13 was only a few days late.

But a question? no and that 4.11 was going to be the last of Kde 4 ??? oO

        1.    elav said

I think 4.12 was going to be the transition to Qt5. But as such the last stable should be 4.11.4. I think

    To update! = D

      I have not yet updated to 4.11.4 .. I already wait for 4.12 😀

What if @elav burns you and throws you into the river for plagiarism of name and cover?

Don't take it so seriously haha, I'm not going to open any blog that plagiarizes DesdeLinux, I only made that website for leisure haha…

Well, good luck with it. If you go by Pastering! Taringa !, I think you have a lot to deny. Better is Pastebin and / or Stack Overflow than Taringa!

          3.    ivanlinux said

Taringa ... That page full of nonsense, very little useful information ...

          Hahaha, yes, cute clone 😀

In KaOS we already had KDE 4.12 in the build repo for days, in fact we have it since the first betas.

Today it has just been made available to all users in the stable repo http://kaosx.us/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=117

    regards

I have been with KaOS for a few days. A distro of 10 with a feedback of 10 as I said in your forum. I guess there are advantages to being very small. But it's giving me great feelings. I don't want to throw the bells on the fly because I did it with Chakra and then I was hugely disappointed.
And of course, as Yoyo says, it is already with kde 4.12 in its stable repo since this afternoon.
And kde 4.12 is another 10 as a desktop. Who was going to tell me that I was a gnome since the days when Suse sent CDs home

    1.    Martin said

Interesting your comment, how did Chakra disappoint you?

  6.   Manuel R. said

That KaOS wants to destroy everything xD

  7.   sieg84 said

it is already in the openSUSE 12.3 and 13.1 KR repos

  8.   truko22 said

In Chakra it was in discussion whether to continue with v 4.11.4 or go for 4.12.0, they decided on the latter and is preparing and testing it according to how many days it will be in the repo testing.

I think I'll wait a bit as I am very, very comfortable with my 4.11.5 stable.

And tell me, how do you feel having a version of KDE that has not yet been nor released? 😀

  11.   Tedel said

I'm not surprised that Sabayon will also get it out in a week or two.

  12.   Antonio said

Perfect. You have to try it now.

Can someone who has updated tell me if Okular annotations can now be seen in other PDF readers?
    Thank you.
