The version is now available to download Opera 11.61 and after downloading it and testing it for a while (I write this post from this browser), I want to leave my impressions.
First of all it is good to point out some of the news:
- Address field renewed.
- New rendering engine.
- New design in the mail interface.
- Others
My impressions:
Be the fault of Opera or not, I still have problems with work within WordPress. The new multi-file uploader from WordPress 3.3.1, not displaying as it should. Nor can I enlarge or reduce any image as in Firefox, simply dragging it along the edges of it. At the same time, when the image is loading the cursor does not stop switching between the arrow pointer and the text selection pointer, something that makes me a bit uncomfortable.
But hey, not everything is bad. We have a new version packed with options that will allow us to configure the browser to the last detail. Opera keep being him King of Cache Management, its speed is amazing and the page load (without Opera Turbo) it's really fast and scrolling is surprisingly smooth once activated.
If something I loved about Opera 11.61 is the Mail Client.
I wish and the boys of Opera they will launch it as an independent application, which without a doubt Thunderbird it would be forgotten. Now it has a new interface with many customization options and it is more organized.
Consumption remains a bit high but not like in previous versions. In addition, I was testing consumption with the email client activated and all the default options. In short, with Opera 11.61 We will have a much better version than the previous ones and quite stable.
Download
We can download Opera from this link for Linux, Mac, Windows y other platforms.
I just updated it and everything is going great 🙂
Opera was doing well for me in WordPress.
What doesn't suit me is the photo of the MacBook
Damn, what a puritanical kid.
That is said by the same grumpy man who criticized me for having used Mac
I don't know if it only happens to me but it consumes me a lot ... around 1,5 Gb with 3 tabs open ...
Well, in terms of speed it is very good, in terms of memory consumption it is a little eaten but not much, I liked it 🙂
My favorite browser. So it was the same as the rc of the 11.61?
Updated and working perfect ... Waiting to test it more in depth, I feel it faster, and it has a consumption that is around 220 megabytes, quite tight. Very well.
I don't know what consumption it will have and I don't care, I have 8 gb of ram xd. What did make me happy is to see that google plus finally works, without having to do strange hacks.
Page compatibility, is it the same ???
I just updated it and everything is perfect better than the previous versions and with better page support, it hurts that some that are from my university are still able to work here
