Blob Wars: One of my favorite games on GNU / Linux

Although I am not an obsessive "gamer", from time to time I get distracted by the odd game of those that do not require many demands in terms of the complexity of their graphics, because incredibly, they are the ones that entertain me the most.

Blob wars is a game that reminds me a lot of Super Contra what will create Konami in the 80's, which instead of shooting everywhere with a man, this time I do it with a Smile coming from a planet of blobs 😀

The story goes as follows: The Blobs they lived in harmony and peace on their planet until they were invaded by aliens led by a metallic smile called Galdov, which not only destroyed almost everything, but also kidnapped some MINE (the girls in the story). Bob (the charismatic smile protagonist) is a soldier of the blob army, who has to free his brothers in war.

For this, he has various weapons, which he obtains as he eliminates his enemies and in the course of the game, he obtains some special accessories such as: An oxygen tank to avoid drowning and a JetPack to fly.

The story of this game is not linear. As we beat levels, new objectives appear on a map and in some cases, we must go back to complete the missions that we are assigned. Despite not having advanced graphics, the game contains a lot of action and violent deaths 😀

The game is found in most of the repositories of all distributions, so we only have to install it using the typical tools of each one.
