BosWar: A game for GNU / Linux similar to StarCraft

I remember when I was a user of Windows, I wasted a lot of my time playing with my friends a game created by Blizzard Entertainment called StarCraft. It is very likely that many know it, especially because although time was wasted a lot, I cannot deny that it was quite entertaining to attack your adversaries full of cargoes and soldiers.

Well, in GNU / Linux we have what has been a kind of clone of StarCraft, or at least it seems pretty close. In fact the name of the game is BosWars which is curious because of the similarity it has with an expansion of StarCraft call Brood War. As in StarCraft, the game takes place in real time and the objective is none other than to gather resources to build an army that allows you to expand and destroy your enemies.

Although it lacks advanced options and amazing graphics, we can have a good time with this game. It can be played online and in campaign mode, which by the way, if someone manages to pass the first mission let me know 😀

BosWars it comes in the repositories of most distributions.

Huuu, interesting, the Starcraft is one of the 2 reasons why I have Windows on my computer (now I'm playing the 2)
I'm going to test it and see if I can pass the first mission

Nothing, Starcraft has no equal. Only competition with Command & Conquer

The games as I like and with the desire that I was to play StarCraft (1).

Of course, according to the screens the graphics are something close to poop, even by the standards in which it is wanted.

Why so much criticism? Gentlemen, these developers are not paid to do what they do, it is not so easy to do it, but criticizing is so easy.

Anyway, no, it can't be compared to Starcraft not for the hell of it, but hey, it's not easy to get to the point of comparison, in fact, I doubt they even aspire to that ...

It has a resemblance, how good it is for Linux and it serves to kill time hahaha ... I'll try to have it, thanks for the information.

Linux will be very good for many things, but in games it is not even close to the Windows of 15 years ago ... much less in this case. Real developers go where the money is.

Everything has its pros and cons 🙂
The games available for Linux are not close to those available for Windows, it is true, nor can Windows security be compared to that of Linux as a joke 😉
