Box: New icon theme for Lubuntu

Box is the name of the new set of icons for Lubuntu 12.10, which based on Elementary, aims to be minimalist and at the same time elegant, giving each element rounded edges and new visual details.

For this, its author has been retouching pixel by pixel, as well announced in this post. I don't know about you, but at least I like them. If it is not already in the repositories Ubuntu, soon it will be. This is one of the so many changes that the artwork of Lubuntu.

Updated: You can download the icon theme from here.

It really looks good, the truth is that the wave of the square icons looks pretty good.

Visiting the Lubuntu blog I found this notification (I thought it was dead):

    PCMan FM 1.0
PCManFM is arriving «dangerously» to 1.0 final (now it's jusrt a release candidate). A lot of improvements within, like external thumbnailer support, new file attribute dialog, support for modifier keys on drag and drop, symbolic link creation, individual wallpapers per desktop and documentation. See the changes and download (if you like to compile by yourself). Or wait for Lubuntu repos update. It won't be too late.

Well, if they are pretty, the question is ... how many icons can the new theme support? 🙂

amm .. I want to install it in debian, but it is not allowed, it asks for the Elementary ones ... and then the Elementary ones, they ask for the Gnome-Full xD

Just unzip the .deb and copy the icons that are inside you should be ready 😀

I already installed them in XFCE and they look great. I think they will displace my Faenza-Cupertino classics for a while.

sorry for the offtpic but does compiz work on lubuntu? and in fedora lxde? I don't really want anything too fancy, just the lamp animation for the windows and maybe the jelly-like windows. nothing else

They are really beautiful, speed and elegance describe Lubuntu, an increasingly modern distro.

That if what I don't like about this theme is the square Chromium and the green Terminal -3-

Off-topic: By the way, how can I help you get the User Agent to display Lubuntu? D:

        lubuntu is not

They look good but I see no reason to change my faenza-cupertino for this topic, they are very similar.
