Disney anti-free software

Last week a few lines with comments "anti-free software" were broadcast in the series Shake it up de Disney Channel, which has caused quite a stir among enthusiasts of the Open Source. This program hints that open source is insecure and its use is described as a "novice mistake."

- Did you use Open Source code to save time, and was the virus hiding in it?
- Maybe…
- Rookie bug

Ignorance or campaign? It seems more the first than the second. Disney is not my saint, but although it has a very orthodox commitment when it comes to the intellectual property of its creations, it is also true that it has supported the development of free software on other occasions, as can be seen here.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong, I understand that when trying to make a program I use a code already made from another program with an open source license and when saying that it is a novice error, it is saying that the novice only copied more, he did not see or I edit said code and that the source from which the code was obtained was not safe ... I understood that.

Man fury what is said fury is not what has caused this video, from my point of view what it has caused is rather outrage.

It seems to me that this ruling stems from the total and absolute ignorance of the writer of the episode of that program. I don't think it's propaganda, I think the writer is an idiot, it's all = D

How much ignorance on the part of Disney. Too bad there are people who think Open Source like that, but hey, there has to be everything in the world.

There are 122 years since the publication of Snow White, by the Grimm brothers and the animation that Disney does ... maybe the rookies are said by the company itself (if I know that copyleft, open source and others are different, but they share the same same spirit when used)

I don't think it's Disney's position but rather a lousy scriptwriter. ignorance is daring.

as an added note. I downloaded the Linux version of Autodesk Maya 2013 from the Disney servers using wget so at least they will use Linux.

This indoctrination so that young people are good consumers and not use free software is shameful (confusing it with free software and freeware).
