Dots: braille translator

Fortunately, Linux is an operating system that has allowed numerous developments to help those with some type of disability.
On this occasion, I found it interesting to share with you the existence of Dots. It is a tool to convert text files into a braille representation so that it can be printed on a printer with support for ASCII Braille.

Dots main features

  • Transcription of ODT, HTML and PDF documents.
  • Output format (cells x line, lines x page, etc.)
  • Editing of the transcribed tables.
  • Printing on printers with support for ASCII Braille.

    Uyy ... the truth is that I just tried the program ... there far and long ago. However, one thing you can try is to open the odt or pdf with LibreOffice and from there save it as html or txt (depending on which one suits you best). Once done, try opening it with Dots.
