Firefoxmania (the Mozilla Community in Cuba) has possibly one of the most visited sites on the Cuban Intranet, since it contains resources that for many people on the Island are difficult to obtain from the Internet.
The guys from this very active community keep the site updated with addons (Extensions), Themes, News and of course, with the various versions, both stable and testing, of Mozilla Firefox y Mozilla Thunderbird.
A site so popular because it already needed a face change and Firefoxmania recently released a new design according to current trends on the web.
Some new concepts incorporated in Firefoxmania:
Landing Page
El landing page, located in the url: http://firefoxmania.uci.cu It is the page that defines or encompasses everything that is The Mozilla Cuba Community. It is that initial page, where the visitor, both new and recurring, must have access to all sections of the site and in an organized manner, show the user the most relevant content and allow them to reach the last corner of the site.
States
The states are mini entries, something similar to tweets. A state, in principle, would be like a thought, an idea, an announcement, a note, something that, with a few words, expresses a lot, or generates a debate. In turn, it feeds on user comments, so it can also be a question. Each state is identified by the author who does it. The author's avatar is displayed and the status next to it.

Although the new design is not 100%, some interesting concepts can be seen that we could implement in the future in DesdeLinux.
Some features are not fully ready and others have not been tested in the real environment. However, we encourage users to report any unusual behavior or poor display of the site. To do this, use the community email (firefoxmania@uci.cu) or through the comments of this article.
They look magnificent, I was struck by the effect on the social media icons (from circle to square) that blends visually very well with the rest of the design. Great job.
More professional than the main page of Mozilla Peru. Anyway, the design of Firefoxmanía is spectacular, which makes me want to implement it on my site.

In Peru, if you have a different opinion about the extraordinary economic policy that the state is leading, they censor you, insult you through the media telling you: because you don't have a university degree in economics, you don't know anything and you'd better shut up.
But that is not the issue here.
Mozilla Firefox, lately it has been modified far from the usual use that I have, it presents icons and window tabs quite large, instability and slow loading of web pages at least now that I am using it again in Archlinux and; In windows 7 the texts are distorted when I move the mouse scroll, maybe it only happens to me and not you. Fortunately on Debian Iceweasel is doing very well; But my taste for experimentation can always do more, and that brings me to the facts that I comment. About Firefoxmania the truth is that I do not make flowers to anything, today is that and tomorrow we do not know, it is only a matter of time, what if I believe is that the development of free software applications must be done soon in Latin America or we will be mere zombies , waiting for developers of different speech to put their things into us until they do not enter.
