Do you know Firefox OS? No? Well if you do not know I suggest you take a look at this excellent Review created by one of our collaborators so that they know what is going on.
For Firefox OS It has been updated and brings interesting improvements, which, of course, already include other more popular and long-lived systems. Let's see what they are:
- MMS: You can now send and receive photos, audio and video files through MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service).
- API for Push Notification: Developers can use Push to deliver timely notifications to applications and reduce overall battery consumption.
- The Responsive Search App is now front and center of the home screen, making it easier and faster to find the content you want.
- Import your contacts from Hotmail or GMail, from the SIM card Adding your Facebook contacts is now much easier.
- Improvements in the option to add contacts.
- Dialing tips: Start entering phone numbers or names into the dialer to quickly find a specific contact.
- Performance improvements: Experience faster application load times and smoother scrolling.
- Now you can save images, audio and video from the browser with ease.
- Keyboard improvements: The text auto-checker corrects accidentally misspelled words.
- Email enhancements: Draft mode automatically saves ongoing emails offline so you can finish and send them later.
- Audio and video email attachments as well as image files can now be saved to your gallery with ease.
- You can attach and send images from your Gallery directly within the email application.
- Music Search: Finding a favorite song is easy with the new music search feature, just swipe down from the top of the Music app to display a search bar and search for music by artist, album, or title of the song.
- Calendar improvements: Direct events can be created, you just have to click on the time interval you want to create a new event on the calendar.
- Calendar with event reminders: set reminders to be notified of calendar events.
- More than 15 languages supported.
These are the news. Honestly, for such a new product, I am pleased to see how they are dedicating time and effort to Firefox OS, a system that uses web technology to work and is already among my favorites, even above Android.

Good news. Apparently I'm already getting excited to replace my Samsung Galaxy Mini's Android 4.2.2 (Thanks, XDA and CyanogenMod!) With Firefox OS. However, it is still not as stabilized as I thought. Anyway, it shows that there is progress.
PS: It seems that the blogs of the official Mozilla communities can already be identified with the design of the same official Mozilla website (first, Hispanic Mozilla, and later, Firefoxmania).
The design of Firefoxmania is temporary .. I think they will add a new one shortly 😉
At least the one you have now is pretty generic. I hope they give it a more "Cuban" touch. For now, the Mozilla WordPress theme remains exclusive to official communities.
PS: I hope upgrade to Firefox Sync because they I would greatly appreciate to take away those damn tokens and use SSL encryption from my links that I have on my Iceweasel.
To use FirefoxOS your terminal had to come from the factory with Android ICS since it is based on and uses the kernel modified by it ... the Mini comes with Gingerbread by default.
Ah good. To wait for an adaptation for Galaxy Mini from XDA Developers.
The other thing is that there are no successful ports of ARMv6 processors (like the one in the Galaxy Mini) to build on, and no specific guides (don't point to Mozilla's, there are about 4 and there is redundancy).
The only successful ARMv6 port so far is that of the Geekpshone Zero, but it uses an even older and different processor than the MSM7X27 of the Galaxy Mini. Also, the code is not entirely adapted (as they say, I have not compiled to test) for ARMv6 processors, not to mention that they would not perform as well as the Cortex A5 of the OT Fire and the Open.
A shame about ARMv6 I was waiting for a port to give life to my ZTE Skate with ARMv6, I currently have Cyanogem 10.2 (android 4.3) and I'm happy but I wanted a change of scenery and if they are freer airs better xD
In that case, a Firefox OS port to the entire potpourri of terminals with MTK6577 and MTK6589 would not hurt.
The problem with Samsung is that many (if not all) of its components are proprietary.
Reason for not purchasing a Samsung as a smartphone.
I use a Samsumg because in low and mid range they are the cheapest there is ... but if where I live the Nexus 4 would not be four times its original value, I would happily have one.
In that case, you should value Xiaomi as an option for the future.
The problem I have with the Chinese is that I trust them as much as the gringos ... although their MIUI ROM is spectacular (and closed source by the "people's" republic of China).
Does anyone have any idea how to install the firefox os emulator other than the browser plugin
Nope, there is no such thing as you ask xD not that I know

I'm missing the »part This update to the Firefox operating system will be available for current users and on developer phones soon. For more information on how to purchase developer devices, visit MDN. »..>. <.. I read this blog via rss on my FxOS .. XD, we hope the update will come out soon ..
hey, if I'm not wrong, telefonica packages the OS updates on their phones, .. you don't know if there's a way to get rid of this "suspicious behavior", and update directly with Mozilla?
Shhh .. I didn't say anything because I want to buy one and I don't want them to run out xDDD
ajhaj, the same I said, and I managed to buy the OT Fire Blanco, there were only a few left .. although, it will be to change phones in the future, since several hardware companies are preparing to launch medium-high range phones with This system .. and yes, with the one I have now, it is very fluid and fast, can you imagine one with better features? The WebGL boom is coming, true quality apps and games with impeccable graphics, and what, I can buy them with the balance of my phone .. jojo, I hope FxOS continues as it comes, and updates every 3 months, rolling seems to me the best update method ..
The other thing that I liked a lot, so far, I have not seen the first app with spam, and many apps are opensource .. 🙂
mozilla's philosophy is worth supporting .. they just need to port firefox to qt. XD ..
When will be the day we can abandon Android?
No idea, but I already use the ICS adapted to the Galaxy Mini (ie CyanogenMod 10.1). I'm doing wonderfully and better than the pre-installed ROM that came with my cell phone.
CM 10.1 is Jelly Bean.
Hopefully with Tizen, I really liked the project and the interface.
I definitely want one xD.
Well, there is some detail with the update ... It is available, yes, precompiled for the Geeksphone Keon / Peak development (the same company takes care of that for the lazy ones: P). For the other mortals, we must wait for Movistar to hand in hand, and also for the company to hand in hand ... I'll wait for Alcatel not sitting down, lying down! xD
I was hoping that with that Rolling update model, they would send us the Mozilla direct updates and pre-customized for the carrier. Not all of us have a machine and a super connection to compile versions.
With all that, I'll wait. I know it will be worth it.
where and how can I buy one? I live in Argentina
I think the rest of the world will come next year.
Does anyone know how to root the alcatel one touch fire or unlock it
I imagine this is version 1.2, right?
I can change the OS of my Chinese tablet PD10 (it has ICS) how would I do it?
I got a new version to install and as mandatory and now my firefox OS does not write BN when chatting, it seems more like a virus
