FireTray is updated for Thunderbird 5

A while ago in Com-SL I talked about a variant for fire tray, an extension I use in Thunderbird to have this excellent Mail Client minimized to the system tray.

Thunderbird plugins

Well then, we can use Firetray en Thunderbird 5 after an update that is available from today. Not only is it compatible, but it also adds some improvements to its options and the tray icon integrates with the theme gtk.

Firetray in the system tray

Among the new options that it adds, we can find:

  • Count new messages.
  • Count unread messages.
  • Show the email number.
  • We can choose the color of the unread message number (to improve the appearance).
  • We can exclude folders.

New options in Firetray

Obviously, we can install / update this Extension from the Plugin Manager integrated in Thunderbird. Firetray It is also compatible with Firefox and other products of Mozilla.
