The issue of the minimum required resolution is terrible, I have a 13-inch laptop with 1366 * 768 and the application does not start because it needs 1152 * 864…. haaaa what bad luck

We will have to keep an eye on it, although I think the same as Gadi

Pitivi was doing well and is very still now. OpenShot is the inevitable tool. We will see what happens with this novelty (although the screen does not show it too promising). salu2

In my opinion, in GNU / Linux we already have quite a few "basic" tools. Although it is true that OpenShot and KDEnlive can be improved and an alternative never hurts, it would be nice if there were more specialized applications.

Greetings, I am a newbie when it comes to computers and computing, stumbling but wanting to learn more ... I have installed kubuntu 12.04 (I changed from WXP), and looking for a video editor (I have kdenlive, open shot, pitivi, kino, etc), I got this one, I installed it as it says here, everything fine but it comes out in English, could you tell me please, how do I change it to Spanish, or does it come with that language ??… .Thank you ..

It will have to be tested in conjunction with OpenShot.

You can't open mp4 or avi, so what do you want it for?
    the usual linux
whatever you install, a long pilgrimage through google awaits you. And I am not against the masochists, nor against those who enjoy belonging to the select group of those who use free software, who use whatever they want, but do not deceive people
Linux is only good for letter writing. browse, read mail and little else
    and someone show me otherwise

As you say Emerson, not everyone has the talent or creativity to be able to cope with this magnificent system, I can assure you that it serves much more than what you indicate, but as I have mentioned, it requires a talent that not everyone possesses. . But do not worry Microsoft is well aware of this and works for you, for those of you who do not enjoy these essential minimums to take advantage of a system as good as Gnu / Linux.
Now I show you, but you will have to find the information yourself. The one that is considered the best producer of special effects for cinema, the one that Microsoft wanted to hire to make its Halo movie, since they work solely and exclusively with Linux.
Dreamworks works with maya on Linux, in fact this program is native to Linux.
The overwhelming majority of super computers run on Linux.
Google and facebook work with linux.
    Most servers work with linux.
Many banks and financial institutions work with Linux.
And a long etc ... but as I told you at the beginning do not be self-conscious or worry for people who denote a low talent like you with your statements are the wonderful windows, so do not feel marginalized of not belonging to this elite because alternatives you have it.
That flowblade in its version 1.16 is a chaos is another matter.
