 The Free Software Center of Excellence of Castilla-La Mancha has published a Workshop Guide on Migration to Free Software (in PDF), in which a Complete methodology so that companies, users and professionals can migrate to free software systems and which also includes several cases of migration examples on SMEs with different needs.

It answers key questions: what advantages does Free Software provide? How is the migration carried out? What is the cost of the process? In addition, it explains the migration process step by step from planning to final completion. It offers advice and solutions to the most common problems, proposing utilities to carry out the migration successfully.

The migration cases included in this guide represent company prototypes, for which the internal structure, the business process and the information system they present are detailed, as well as the steps to carry out the migration correctly.
