GTA: San Andreas remake on Unity: new updates available

SanAndreasUnity

GTA: San Andreas is one of the most popular video games of recent years. A whole series that has had many gamers captivated with this open world in a big city where you could do practically whatever you want, in addition to completing a series of missions. But of the entire saga, perhaps San Andreas has been one of the most beloved. Therefore, the developers are very interested in bringing this game back to the forefront.

In LxA we already talked about this remake, a guy ago, a launch that is based on the new Unity graphics engine, compatible with Linux platforms as you should also know already if you read us. Well, this opensource remake called SanAndreasUnity is compatible with several platforms (cross-platform) and has a new release with interesting updates that improve the basic work that already existed ...

In this latest release you will find the following new arrivals:

  • Support for case-sensitive file systems, that is, they are case-sensitive, as is the case with FS for Linux.
  • Linux users no longer need to do any configuration as in the previous release, the game can now run out of the box.
  • Modifications to the scripts so that the game does not behave differently in each compilation.
  • Unused asset packages that were added to Unity have been removed.
  • Fully SFX compatible.
  • Better vehicle timing with some changes made.
  • GXT can be imported (temporarily disabled)
  • Fix for clients receiving spam
  • FPSCounter has been optimized, the texture is updated only once per frame
  • Other graphical improvements and more bug fixes.

If you want to read more information, download it or collaborate in this project, you can go to the GitHub website of this SanAndreasUnity project. And enjoy if you liked this title!

By the way, something that raises doubts. If you want to play you will need a copy of GTA: San Andreas. The only thing the project has replaced is the graphics engine.
