How to buy printed circuits at $ 2 with JLCPCB?

A few days ago we talked to you about Where to buy Electronic Components Online?, and many of you sent us comments regarding printed circuits (PCB), as most agreed that the price of these circuits are high if they are bought in America or Spain, but that in other countries the price is lower. I have personally bought 10 PCBs worth $ 2 en jlcpcb.com, the quality and the delivery time was very good, and its gerber viewer tool allows the designs to be perfect.

What are printed circuits (PCB)?

All the printed circuit boards known in English as PCB (Printed Circuit Board), are nothing more than a surface that contains the structure of laminated conductors that then allow various electronic components to be electrically connected, in the same way, it is the mechanical and non-conductive base where the elements of a circuit rest.

These printed circuits can be created manually, but their cost is high, so fundamentally the PCB creation in an automated way, where the accuracy of the conductive channels is increased, in addition, printing and assembly costs are lowered.

PCBs are embedded in most electrical appliances and are the rationale for the automation of many components, tools, and automata.

What is JLCPCB?

JLCPB (Shenzhen JIALICHUANG Electronic Technology Development Co., Ltd.)Is a company that manufactures PCB at very low prices, with high quality and in a fairly short time, according to their website they are lThe largest PCB producers in China, having more than 200.000 clients all over the world and more than 8000 orders a day.

From my experience JLCPB is a manufacturer selling PCB printing service, in a simple, fast way, with high technology, with a very accessible price of $ 2 for 10 pieces and, above all, that its shipment is safe, taking into account that in my particular case the manufacture lasted very little time.

There are a large number of alternatives to JLCPB such as pcbway, 4pcb, pcbcarte among others, but personally I have no criticism with JLCPB and comparing price these are the ones that have given me the best offer.

How to buy printed circuits at $ 2?

In the electronics laboratory that I am setting up I want to create a replica of the ARDUINO MOTOR SHIELD REV3So I had a set of PCBs made with JLCPB that would allow me to assemble all the necessary components.

JLCPCB

Then I leave the ARDUINO MOTOR SHIELD REV3 Gerber file in case you want to use it for some test.

The process of ordering and purchasing 10 pcb of Arduino Motor Shield REV3 was the following:

  • We open the site of JLCPCB, we are shown a budget calculator that takes us to the order page. In the quote calculator, just enter the PCB size, quantity, layers, and thickness. enter the description of the image here
  • Then we click on QUOTE NOW / QUOTE NOW, this will take you to the quote page where you enter all the required details.

I am not particularly an expert in electronic circuits so I decided to leave the default configuration, but the necessary modifications can be made so that the PCB is as you need it, in the same way, each option has a useful review, so you can be very helpful when deciding on one.

  • Then click on Save to Cart / click save to cart and that will take you to a page that will ask you to add your Gerber files (you can use the one I left earlier), also for an extra payment they can prioritize the manufacturing time of the PCB.
enter the description of the image here

enter the description of the image here

  • Do not forget upload your Gerber file . After loading the gerber, simply haz click SAVE TO CART / SAVE FOR CART.
enter the description of the image here

  • Finally, make the payment corresponding to your order with the payment term that best suits you, your order will be generated and the phase of your order will be indicated, after manufacturing and shipping you will be given the tracking code.

I am quite satisfied with the delivery times of my PCBs and with the quality of the same, to a greater quantity of products surely the price should go down, but for the use that I have given the 2 $ it has been more than a good investment.

I hope this information is useful to those users who are interested in electronic circuits and electronics laboratories.

Hello, how are you? I always visit your page but I rarely comment (very few).
I wanted to consult you something, I have a Sentey source that burned 1 electrolytic polarized capacitor of 560uF 200V but it seems that nobody has them, or they offer me 470 or 660uf and 250 or 300V. Do you know of any page that sells them? the price doesn't matter anymore.
    regards

Hello Anonymous, the 470uf electrolytic capacitors are standardized, you can find them in any electronics house, the 660uf ones are not so common in any case it is important that the voltage is 200V up, but if you have a capacitor or a capacheck or a friend that have you can check any old tv plate or pc source that you will surely find some.
In the free market you can check insurance you will also find but I do not know if they will sell you just one.
Regarding the plates I continue with the old method of doing it freehand with the old and beloved marker,
For the record, they are simple fas basic plates.
PS: To the people of BS AS in Buogne Sur Mer you will find several electronics houses that if you live nearby, greetings.

Hello good night, I am writing to you from Colombia. My question is, after completing the whole process, I saw that they gave you a kind of invoice, or as they say in English "invoice" where they gave you all the shipping information, I would like to know what is the guide number of sent and where do you track the shipment (web page), I am about to make the purchase of some PCBs but those data are not clear to me on the page. Many greetings and I love your page.

On the platform when the pcb is manufactured and has been shipped, your order is updated with the tracking number of your order.

For PCBs I have used https://oshpark.com/ Since, depending on the options, they do not charge you for shipping. Their page is very friendly, it even accepts files from kicad.

The final price is multiplied by 6 when adding the shipping costs, at least to Spain they are $ 2 + $ 10.98: /
