How to create forms (PDF) in LibreOffice Writer

The title says it all. Is there a way to create a PDF form with LibreOffice Writer? Yes. In this short video I show you how to do it.

It would be good if you shared in the comments those things that you do not know how to do in LibreOffice. If I know the answer, maybe I can make a mini video tutorial on the topic. 🙂

I would like to know how to make macros in Libreoffice, it is the only problem I have to stop using the Microsoft office. Specifically, I need to create a macro that modifies the margins, spacing, font and sheet size of a document to a specific one.

Geoffrey, that sounds like you're looking for a template. That is, a preformatted document on which you create new files. I use two templates on my computer. It is as easy to create them as to open a blank text; modify margins, spacing, font and sheet size as you wish; and then save it as a template.

Once you have your templates saved, you use them with control + shift + N.

      Hope it helps.

Excellent information, now a query I have to carry out a project study, for this I would create the forms but these can save the information in a database, eg. a .csv file, the case is that I have users who manage more than one project; These forms apply, because it can unify the capture of information. Can you recommend a manual or give me some advice ...
Thank you very much !!! Keep sharing your knowledge.

Very interesting, thank you very much.
A tutorial with some simple macros to add to events would be nice.
such as print, go to a specific box after updating, etc.
I use Access and the problem I had when using base, is that in access there are already built macros where only one completes the data. How to open a form, filter by some field, print, go to the next record. That is missing from LibreOffice but I think it can be solved with a good tutorial with those mini macros already assembled. but I can't find anything of the kind on the internet.

Excellent! What I didn't know and was really surprised is that a pdf form can be created. I thought this format was read-only. Thank you!

    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to change the keyboard shortcuts to English, is that translating this is the last straw and I am used to combining the rest of the programs.

    Greetings.

Thank you very much for your contribution. In soccer language it would be a short pass and on foot. These tutorials are very good for those of us who are not experts in the use of computing but like to try new resources.
    Greetings and thanks again

I need to make a form in which I enter someone's personal data (name and surname), as well as other data… and that the form only repeats them in another part of it without having to retype them… how could I do it? Thanks a lot.
