How to use Android on your PC, laptop or netbook

Android x86 is a project that is focused on patching Android so that it can be executed on netbooks, laptops and any other computer, in this way it can not only be executed on smartphones but we can also give it a taste for those who do not yet have one. The project has a list of all equipment that has been tested this version of Android patched and from what I see is focused more than anything on netbooks. We can also use it in other types of computers, notebooks and tablets; It is only necessary to test it and if everything runs well you can send the characteristics of your computer to add it to the list of supported hardware.

If you want to have Android installed on your computer, it is now possible thanks to the Android version patched by the Android X86 project, which allows Android to run on computers based on this architecture.

The project was created during version 1.5, and has improved a lot until the adaptation of version 2.2. Support for the main Wifi and Ethernet devices has been added; OpenGL libraries are used for graphics.

This version of Android does not have access to the Android Market, but instead has a repository with applications fully adapted to operate on the X86 architecture.

During installation, it allows the creation of a virtual SD memory card with a custom size, to simulate the memory card of a mobile terminal.

Installation

Download the ISO image, burn it to a CD or USB and start your computer with it. If you are not so daring you can also use a virtualization application such as VMWare or VirtualBox.

Obviously use Android-X86 on our computer it will not be the same as doing it on the mobile, since several of its functions, especially those of access to the phone hardware, do not work, but it will allow us to get an idea of how we handle ourselves and how we work in this operating system .

For more information and instructions on how to install Android-X86, don't forget to go through the official project page.

What breaks my balls is that to download applications you have to have a phone associated with the google account ... If it is x86! What the hell do you ask me for a cell phone for!

What you publish is very good, but if you are looking for a simpler alternative, you can try an emulator that is already compiled like Youwave, which is very light and easy to use.
