Amazing theme for Conky that matches Lucid

Conky is a very lightweight system monitoring system that is highly customizable. The theme for Conky made by goblins, and what I found in OMG! ubuntu, it certainly proves it.

The theme is called "Conky Ubuntu Lucid Theme" and is designed, as the name implies, to suit the visual appearance of the new Ubuntu.

Conky = very difficult to use and configure
Conky has a reputation for being very difficult to use, which is absolutely true. Once you get used to it it is not that difficult, but it is certainly challenging for the novice user. Thanks to this script even the less savvy user will be able to use and configure it without problems.

Download
Download the topic from Gnome-Look.

Install / Use
To install Conky, I opened a terminal and typed:

sudo apt-get install conky

Then, install the newly downloaded theme ...

1) I unzipped the file you downloaded.
2) I moved the extracted .conkytheme folder to your HOME (if it is no longer there)
3) I wrote the following in a terminal:

conky -c ~ / .conkytheme / conkyrc

Hi, I just did everything you said but my network and temperature are failing, how can I fix it?

  2.   wizbite said

I have already fixed the network by googling a bit, it was because I use wlan0 and the file used eth0, is there any way to detect the interface through which it is connected and use that?
Another thing is that when I run it I get this:
    Conky: /home/pepe/.conkytheme/conkyrc: 22: no such configuration: 'border_margin'
    and this other
    sh: /home/pepe/.scripts/ip.sh: not found

    Are they mistakes?

Looks like. The ip.sh is a script that returns your public IP. Surely, if you pay attention, that data appears blank in your Conky, this is because it cannot find that script. I really have no idea where to get it. Lastly, you can edit the ~ / .conkytheme / conkyrc file and delete every line that calls that script.
The border_margin error is because that property is no longer used. Replace with: window.border_inner_margin
Ah! Do not forget that you can configure the background to adapt to the dimensions of your monitor. For that you have to edit the images contained in ~ / .conkytheme / pix /
I hope my help has served.
