KDE Plasma 5.13.4 comes with more than 45 improvements

The KDE Project group today announced the immediate availability of the fourth maintenance update for the short-lived version KDE Plasma 5.13.

Coming three weeks after the third update, KDE Plasma 5.13.4 continues to improve the stability and performance of the KDE Plasma 5.13 environment. adding a total of 48 changes and fixes through various components like Plasma Desktop, Plasma Discover, Plasma Workstation, KScreen, KWin, Plasma Add-ons, Info Center, Breeze Plymouth and many others.

“Today, KDE releases an update that fixes bugs in KDE Plasma 5. Plasma 5.13 was released in June with many improvements and new modules that complete the desktop experience. This release adds two weeks of translations and fixes from KDE contributors. The arrangements are small but important”. It reads in the ad.

Among the highlights of the KDE Plasma 5.13.4 update include the ability to respect the ghns KIOSK restrictions in the new KDE control modules, it also adds support for the Plasma Discover package manager to sort packages by date release, showing the newer firsts, and a patch for the font rendering feature that will now no longer change preview images when rendered.

KDE Plasma 5.13.5 arrives September 4 as the latest maintenance update

There is a pending maintenance update to be released for KDE Plasma 5.13. The KDE Plasma 5.13.5 version is expected on September 4, 2018, this will mark the end of the life cycle of KDE Plasma 5.13 which it will be replaced by KDE Plasma 5.14 which has a release date of October 9 of this year.

Until then, it is recommended that users update their KDE Plasma 5.13 installations to the fourth maintenance update as soon as the packages reach the stable repositories of the different Linux distributions.
