yes, linux takes off and goes to hell ...

But it is logical .. I honestly do not understand these Microsoft and Apple. A simple example: iTunes. Why doesn't it have a version for GNU / Linux? There are many users who use Linux and have an iPod, iPhone or Apple gadgets.

I am one of those who think that there are few products that surpass the iPod in terms of music quality ... if there were iTunes for Linux, Apple would have a guaranteed customer.

The same with Microsoft .. The release of a version for Linux means that you will have many more clients and potential buyers of your product .. And maybe not me, but a company or anyone else would pay to simply have the Office Suite running on Ubuntu , Debian or Fedora natively.

I agree with you, Microsoft has already said it: now they are changing from being a "software" company to one of "goods and services". Porting programs to foreign systems can come. Who knows? capable that they are good and send a version of .Net, (which from what I heard the mono project is not the best for some cases)

Hi friend. I have not commented for a long time. Dragons seem very cute to me too! Too bad there is no (nor the intention) of a mascot for Xfce. Either way.

    KAAWAAAAAIIIII !!!

  4.   perseus said

    FUCK ...

I don't like them, can't they put a BackTrack type dragon? Those mockups look like an effeminate / androgynous Yoshi. Surely Disney didn't pay the designer to make them? ¬¬

    1.    v3on said

i agree with perseus, linux is for men, not infants

And that someone says from windows right? XD.

    2.    elav said

Man!! Imagine that they make an inflatable doll with the dragon from Backtrack .. what an ugly thing .. but with this, things change

      Hahaha +1.

What will the affectionate bears come next ??? ¬¬

    1.    elav said

      The affectionate dragons .. xDDD

  6.   dhunter said

Nice for a KDE spin for kids, it lacks the personality to be an official desktop mascot. The backtrack dragon as Perseus says is already better on track, although it is almost a clone of MortalKombat.

: 3 looks great is very kawai !!!! with all those colored dragons it would be very good if they apply it in each kde application with one of those little dragons: 3

I find it very childish for an environment like KDE, I like this one better: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61020725/konqui5.jpg

Well yours is fine, backtrack, No.

    We are screwed ... D: (?)

The design of that Konqui mascot is very ugly, I think it fits better in a cartoon channel ... Nickelodeon or cartoon network. I hope that design is taken more seriously, especially the end user.

  12.   eeefece said

I also like them and from a design point of view they also seem quite successful… the lines are quite simple and friendly; and the differentiation between users can be quite useful ...

  13.   elynx said

They look suitable for «Kids». They could put a Dragon similar to the one Xykyz linked.

    Regards!

  14.   nosferatuxx said

Everyone's opinion is acceptable, however the opinion of the KDE team is to give a new image saying "so friendly to use that it seems made for children".
Or what do you think ?.

    1.    the Fox said

Your comment seems very accurate, my good friend.

  15.   Blaire pascal said

Uyyyyy what the ……… .. hahahaha how funny. This is the result of a cross between Konqui and an Alien.

Aaaawwww <3 how beautiful, I want a doll of each one xD

PS: Off topic: Counter Strike Source is now available for GNU / linux

You leave me milk, very sweet and very tender, but it looks like Yoshi & Friends, Mario is missing in diapers in front! And yes, I also want stuffed animals of this xD

  18.   David said

Well, it has surprised me for good. I like it. It is simple and allows to create others for each department based on the same design, which I think is the idea they present. I just miss the wings.
For those who ask for something more aggressive, have you seen the current konqui? It is more in the line this than the ones you link.

  19.   John Camilo said

It's very cute, it's like saying that "KDE is for everyone, children, adults, for everyone"

Well, I like it, it adapts quite well to what KDE wants to give to see with its latest version
