Kubuntu 14.04 will have a new application to manage the TouchPad

touchpad

The new application to manage the Touchpad will appear in Kubuntu 14.04 with a renewed interface, lots of options and a plasmoid for those users who cannot find (or do not have on their computers) the keys to Activate / Deactivate this component.

This application comes to replace the old Synaptics, and its development has been possible thanks to alexander mezin who made it part of his project for him GSoC  (Google Summer of Code).

Users Kubuntu 14.04 you can install the new application from Ubuntu repositories by installing the package kde-touchpad. I just hope that the rest, those of us who use other distros, can use it too 😀
