I consider myself (still) a simple mortal, and I will also be able to enjoy the automatic update of libreoffice, without the use of the famous PPAs, since I use ARCHLINUX, which also has libreoffice in its repositories

Please, Ubuntu is not everything, otherwise you would have to change the name to let's use Ubuntu

Precisely, because Ubuntu is not everything, the link is included to download LibreOffice manually. In Arch it is possible to use it without doing this but that is not the case in the rest of the distros. Arch isn't everything either ...
    Cheers! Paul.

I have been testing Libreoffice for a few months, it seems to me (and I have commented on it here) that it is an excellent office automation alternative. I love that they fixed the little bugs that personally make me happier to use them (as now dockbarx works perfectly)

Just a small comment: I just installed this RC4 on several new computers in fedora and debian without incident ... but I had problems installing with the PPA in Ubuntu, it showed an error with the Spanish package ... but installing by hand there is no problem.

Thank you very much for the post!

thanks for the information, now I am updated to the latest in debian, thanks to the experimental repo there is.
A question to see if any Debianite knows: I am not updating only the libreoffice, even though I have the repo in the sources.list, I had to put "apt-get -t experimental install libreoffice" for it to be updated. Is there any way to know when the program is updated or better, that it updates itself? capable that I had installed it wrong from the beginning, since I did not do it with apt-get but with aptitude.
    regards!
