The Document Foundation has released a new version of the LibreOffice office suite available for all supported platforms.
LibreOffice 6.4.4 It is the fourth release of version 6.4 and although it does not introduce new features, it does bring several improvements that will improve the user experience and will resolve some bugs that were recently discovered.
TDF mentions that this version is specifically intended for power users and enthusiasts, while normal and first-time users should stay on LibreOffice 6.3.6 for a more stable and reliable experience.
As always, there is a version with the latest news for advanced users to try and another that has been improved so as not to fail, which is recommended for anyone looking for stability.
TDF explains that LibreOffice 6.4.4 includes “many fixes and improvements for document compatibilitySo if you had a bad experience working with files created in Microsoft Office before, you probably don't have them anymore.
LibreOffice is considered as the alternative number one for Microsoft Office, and many of the people, companies or organizations that do not want to pay for a license for Microsoft Office find that this replacement is equal to or better than the paid alternative.
Finally, it should be remembered that LibreOffice has been adopted by many agencies and governments, mostly with the intention of reducing licensing costs.
