The old version of Mint left a bad taste in my mouth, but this one really liked it. Just the reverse of what I felt with Lucid and Marverick.
Greetings.
Something similar happens to me! 😛
Cheers! Paul.
I had never seen a version of Linux Mint before, and the 10 only used it out of curiosity and the truth seems to me very good and with good style, for someone who starts in the world of GNU / Linux totally recommended.
Yes, for those new to Linux it is the best! 🙂
Cheers! Paul.
You have to pay close attention to Linux Mint and its development team: they are doing things well, very well. I think Mint is already positioned as one of the great Debian distros. Although she is Ubuntu's younger sister (whose father is Debian), she has already developed a personality of her own and is beautiful, stable, and best of all, a little easier to use than the rest of the distros.
However, there are two things that are making me absolutely happy: That the Mint team is committed to being conservative, stable and simple. Everyone knows the revolution that comes with Gnome-shell, and Canonical's commitment to Unity (projects that for my taste still have a long way to go). At this point the Mint team announces (to the delight of many) that it is betting on Gnome 3 with a traditional desktop: excellent.
Another point to take into account is that beauty called LMDE, I think this flavor is one of the great ideas of this year and it may be the way that gives Mint that push to position itself as one of the most stable distros but with its philosophy. of simplicity and simplicity that they have always had. It is also rolling release which for me is the best.
Therefore, I repeat: let's pay attention to Linux Mint (in all its flavors) because its boys are doing things well, very well.
I have been without W for a year and a half, I started with Ubuntu, but this year I met LM Isadora and the experience has really been fabulous, I have not had problems and I think I will not move from this distro for a long time ... besides, as many say, This distro is really simple, I installed it on the computer of a 12-year-old nephew and I was delighted, he also gave up W and it is already handled well, now I installed it on my mother's computer and 0 problems ... I think the group of developers have done well by creating a simple distro that allows more people to abandon that nightmare called W ...
I see that they are all very good at Linux .. someone could help me with my doubts
give me some way to communicate with them and explain it to me?
Someone could .. help a lot thanks
