Linux Mint LXDE available!

Linux Mint 10 LXDE comes with all the updated software and some new features and refinements to make using your desktop a much more comfortable activity. Don't miss out on this incredible distro that, in addition to being very stable, is super-fast.

New Features

1.- Software Administrator: The Software Manager gives you a nice browsing experience, with a better categorization of software and the use of application icons.

2.- Update Manager: If you are not interested in receiving updates to a particular package, simply right-click on the package and tell the Update Manager to ignore updates to that package. The package will be added to the list of ignored packages and you won't get those annoying update notices. The update manager now also shows the size of the packages to update, so you can know how much information will need to be downloaded.

3.- Adobe Flash: Linux Mint comes with the latest version of Adobe Flash «Square», running natively in both 32 bit and 64 bit. This plugin is much faster than its predecessor, especially when running in full screen.

4.- Oracle Virtualbox: a new meta-package called "virtualbox-nonfree" was created. This package allows the installation of the "closed" version of Virtualbox that comes with USB support.

It worked for me exactly the same as the lmde but it consumed more ram than the lmde with xfce strangely, the lmde with xfce consumed me 120mb with the system without anything open and the linut mint lxde 230mb.
