Lucid Puppy 5.1 was released

A few months ago we told you about the Puppy Linux 5.0 release, excellent distro that is characterized by its small size (it is loaded in a virtual disk of just 64 MB) without this being detrimental to its functionalities and / or visual appeal. Today, they announced the release of Lucid Puppy 5.1, a distro derived from Puppy 5.1 (Lupu). It's about Puppy but with a Ubuntu-like appearance.

Lucid Puppy 5.1 includes new applications in the repository and support for high-performance graphics. I recommend reading the announcement made in the forum by playdayz.

Playdayz describes the release of this new version: Lucid Puppy 5.1 "is a compact but very complete distro." It's a Puppy, so it's a fast, friendly, and fun distro that can serve as your main desktop system. Quickpet and the Puppy Package Manager allow easy installation of many of the best programs available for Linux, tested and specially configured to run under Lucid Puppy. It's also super easy to choose your favorite browser or system language. Lucid Puppy boots directly to an automatically configured desktop environment, with the tools to customize the desktop well at hand, and the system even recommends the user which video driver to use for high-performance graphics playback.

The distro is very nice. But why can't I use my cell phone as an Internet modem?
