It's offline, we don't know why, I'll write an email to the friend who lends us the hosting to see what might happen. Sorry TT

I liked the combination, except for the desktop background, maybe a flat color like # 86abd9 would hit more.

    Greetings.

I like it better than mine, I use Xubuntu 11.10 with the same theme and the same icons ... I've always wanted to install debian but I just don't dare

Welcome Guillermo. Well, make him want to help you anything 😀

Cheer up, I also had (well, I have) Xubuntu 11.10, and then I installed Debian. It is similar, a lot, I would say that the performance is better. I installed Debian Stable (only base system + standard system tools), then I put Testing repos, did dist-upgrade, installed Xorg, then LightDM (thanks Elav) and Xfce. Then what is missing. And here I am, tremendous distro.
Now I need to try it with LXDE… 😉

@elav how could I install version 4.8 of XFCE on my Ubuntu 10.10, since in the repo I have what this is version 4.6.6, I was reading http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/01/install-xfce-4-8-in-ubuntu-10-10-ppa/ but the ppa is screwed, since it is not added ... I am downloaded the tar.bz from Xfce 4.8, but I don't know if that will solve it, since they are 17 Mb. Any suggestions?

      Better install Xubuntu

If not then sudo apt.get -y install xubuntu-desktop

the idea is not to download a cd…. I work in the same network as @elav and @Arenoso, and believe me downloading a cd is tedious and impossible ... also I would have to download xbuntu 11.10 which is the one that already comes with XFCE 4.8. I already tried apt-get -Y install xbuntu-desktop but the version it brings is XFCE 4.6.6 and that version is a shit hehe
