All the new improvements de GNOME 3.6 They include the rendering of fonts, in the mouse and touchpad settings, a new view mode in GNOME Shell, a new design for the message tray and various modifications to the control panel in the sound options and keyboard shortcuts, not to mention improvements made to the GTK2 version of the Adwaita theme and the Kerberos protocol. |
In addition to this, effects have been added to the desktop environment magnifying glass, which will allow the colors to be inverted, desaturated or the contrast changed, something that will help to make that use of the magnifier noticeable at all times. Also curious is the inclusion of a "Natural Scroll" mode in the mouse and touchpad panel, which, as you can imagine, imitates the one that Apple integrated a few months ago into the new versions of its operating system, OS X.
In GNOME Shell we will also have a "mode-less" view without a side column and with a wider search field. The new message tray is more elegant and responds to suggestions from some users. The messages are not displayed by themselves unless we want to, but we can show them at any time with the Super-M shortcut (Windows-M).
Other changes affect the control panel and issues such as the sound panel, keyboard shortcuts, a better GTK2 version of Adwaita or support for Kerberos secondary logins that has already been integrated into GNOME online accounts. You can get more details of all these features in the official announcement, here.

Gnome-shell breaks it. For a while I used Unity getting used to it, but it always lacked 5 for the weight in usability. With GS I feel that the adaptation is much faster and greater fluidity is achieved in practice. It is a matter of taste up to a point. But this is my humble opinion. Cheers!
For me, gnome shell is a good desktop environment, it is only a matter of taste, and if you took an idea from Apple, then it is not bad to "ask for permission" for an idea from another OS, since most environments copy some to others, but I reiterate, it is only a matter of taste. See you soon.
The idea of free software is the recognition that nothing is 100% original and instead of fighting over those things, we better share our information and create a common project.
That does not enter the head of the ubuntosos.
Copying is contributing to the holy war from my point of view
It is not good to copy, to copy is a lack of originality, and worse is in Linux, a system whose goals are different from Mac O $ and Ha $ efroch.
Debian could include xfce in the 1st install cd because it is smaller (not because of the low cost or ram expense). Gnome (and KDE for example) follow on the other cd's. Incidentally. The latest Debian beta still includes Gnome on cd1 (I think they have released a compressed version of Gnome that could fit on cd 1)
What did you think Winbuntosos? What was Gnome creation? xDDDD poor delusions.
I understand that debian will have xfce as the default desktop because it is more practical than gnome because it is lighter, the debian developers want the distro to enter a single cd and with gnome that became impossible.
I do not like gnome shell very much, it will be a matter of habit, it seems very rigid, I like xfce more, or the gnome that puts ikey in solusos, I hope that the gnome people change a little before more and more people switch to other environments, debian for example will come out with default environment xfce.
but debian is going to have xfce only for stability, not for taste.
It seems very good to me and quite functional, the truth is I use it daily and I am very happy ...
I don't particularly like Gnome-Shell, I still prefer Unity which I have already gotten used to.
I have been using gnome 3 since it appeared and I really feel comfortable, for all the activities that I can do ... like everything new at first it was a bit complicated but now it would be impossible to stop using it ... on each pc that I use or will use I have to install it ...

More reasons not to use Gnome, its lack of originality and its need to copy to other systems.
Apart from the fact that they have been shitting it since the first release of version 3.
It's going to hurt but it's the truth.
