I don't like dark colors for windows and applications in my Desktop Environment, but if you're reading this, you don't share my opinion and you also use KDE, you might be interested in a set of icons called: newKDEGray.
The Icon Set is very complete and covers all the places and applications of KDE. It can also be used with another color scheme, for example in my case they look like this:
If you want to install it, the first thing to do is download the compressed file from the following link:
Then they unzip it and copy the folder to /home/your_user/.kde4/share/icons. Remember that depending on the distribution, the name of the folder may vary. .kde4 a .kde.

But at the moment I use XFCE, I'm not such a fan of KDE, too bad = (...

I have never liked dark colors, according to dhunter, my desktops look like the river carnivals of rouges and others. These days I gave the Rosa icons a chance from Slackware.
OT 1. I have noticed that since the change that was made to the way the messages are sent, they are not always updated simply by entering the page again, sometimes you have to do ctrl + f5 so that the changes are noticed (Firefox 23 ) I have tested it on Arch, Manjaro and Win.

Yesterday when I tried this pack I almost broke KDe.
I don't know if it will be the fault of this pack, which is huge, but when I changed the icons, I stayed for about half an hour updating the system configuration until I had to cancel it.
Delete the pack, change to other icons and it was solved; so good I wanted to try it,
I don't understand what the icon pack has to do with performance, at least from the way you comment .. o_O but hey, if it happened to you, it happened to you .. 🙂
I don't know what it has to do either, but the issue is that when the pack is released the update of the system conf does not take long and with the icon pack it does not end any more.

The icons are very good, I'll try to place them. I'm a beginner in the linux world and things don't always come out of one but I still try!
