They exist every time more video games for GNU / Linux distributions, interest in the Linux world has exploded in recent times. In just a few years the number of titles with Linux support already number in the thousands. Some attributed this progress to the problems that Microsoft Windows 8 had brought to the developers and that they were literally running away, but that has been solved by Microsoft and the truth is that more and more titles for Linux continue to come.

And that is not only noticeable in the video games available, but also in the number of parallel projects related to graphic APIs and the world of video games that we are seeing lately. Another example of this is the improved graphics engine for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat that we are going to present to you today. It is an open source engine called OpenXRay and which is making great progress lately to be supported on Linux. It's not the only one graphics engine with Linux support, far from it, and it is not the only open-source graphics engine. There are already several and the truth is that they are quite interesting projects. In this case, it is a GSC Game World game engine under BSD license and which has once again become the center of the news because some videos have been shown on YouTube under Linux of its operation.

I hope you follow your progress and that more and more come as it is a good step to bring, not only AAA titles to Linux distros, but also that future video games for Linux are also open source and free, which would be great. If you want to know more details about the OpenXRay project, I leave you the link of GitHub and your Linux support status here.
