QtFM: lightweight file explorer developed in QT

File explorers out there, what does this one offer that others don't? Speed, particularly for those using KDE. What else? It is very simple and easy to use. Ah, for Arch users who complain that everyone is talking about Ubuntu, here's a post for you :)

The interface is not very revolutionary to say: a toolbar, a navigation bar and another address bar. On the left, the typical directory tree and bookmarks to access favorite directories.

We can choose between icon or detail view, view hidden files and thumbnails, even in the new version it allows creating custom actions for each file (as in Thunar).

It still lacks a lot but it can become an interesting alternative to consider. Those who like Dolphin will surely feel very comfortable with QtFM.

To install qtFM on Arch Linux:

yaourt -S qtfm

For other distributions it can be compiled while Qt is installed.
