Rhythmbox plugin to open the folder containing the selected song

Open Folder is a Rhythmbox plugin that allows you to open the folder where the selected song is located. It is very easy to use and it is one of the functionalities that should definitely be added in future versions of Rhythmbox.

Installation

1.- Download the plugin
2.- Unzip and copy it to ~ / .gnome2 / rhythmbox / plugins /
3.- I opened Rhythmbox and activated the plugin from Edit> Plugins and select Open Folder.

To see the most prominent Rhythmbox plugins I recommend you read this other post that we posted a couple of weeks ago.

In case you want to see (almost) all available plugins, don't forget to read the third-party plugins section in the Rhythmbox official site.

    Hey.
Very useful plugin. I just have one question… what version of rhythmbox do you use? I say it because I have the Maverick recently installed and from what I see the configuration folder of the rhythmbox plugins is no longer the one you say ... at least on my system I have found it in: ~ / .gconf / apps / rhythmbox / plugins /.
I have also tried to install this plugin (which I used in my old Ubuntu Jaunty) and the rhythmbox does not seem to recognize it ... it does not even appear in the list of Plugins ... any idea why this could be?
    A greeting.

Forget it, my fault. Although it is true that the plugins that come by default are in the folder that I told you, if I install the new ones there they do not work 😕 I had to create the directory that you said (that in my installation did not exist) and put them there ... how strange!

It is true! The folder is different in Maverick, however, they won't work for you unless you install them in that folder. Just create it if it doesn't exist.
Regarding why Rhythmbox does not recognize it in Ubuntu Jaunty ... the truth is that I have no idea.
A hug and thank you for commenting!
