Sakis3G: bye to problems connecting with 3G modems

Sakis3G is a script that is in charge of doing the dirty work for us and, after doing its magic, allows us to connect through the always complicated to configure 3g modem. Once it runs, Sakis3G tries to identify the environment (kernel, distribution, modem, operator, desktop environment) and takes care of every little step necessary finally activate our 3g connection.

What you have to do is download the script, unzip it, give it execution permissions and finally run it in "interactive" mode so that it brings up the graphical interface.

First, download the script. Then, I opened a terminal and enter:

echo "dda70fd95fb952dbb979af88790d3f6e sakis3g.gz" | md5sum -c gunzip sakis3g.gz chmod + x sakis3g ./sakis3g --interactive

Finally, it is necessary to select the desired option, for which it will configure and make the modem work without further consideration.

The variety of supported models is wide, the number of countries is enough (which reaches 44! If you are not on the list, the creators explain how and where to include the data before you discard the script and can make it work). It includes the configuration and APN by default (when there are several it will ask us which one we want to choose).

For the lady's wallet and the gentleman's pen drive ...

In linux mint, plugging the modem into the pc takes it and lets you configure it in a matter of minutes, it already brings the default info of all the providers in Argentina.
