KSplash or 'Simple' BootSplash for ArchLinux and Chakra Linux

El KSplash (also known for Boot Splash) is that animation, or effect that our KDE It shows us when we log in, that is, what we usually see:

Well, we will put this other:

It represents very well ArchLinux ... simple, simple, beautiful 😀

To install it is simple, here are the steps:

1. Download the file: Download Simple ArchLinux KSplash

2. Open the System preferences and enter Workspace appearance.

3. Once there, we go in the left bar to where it says «Annunciator screen«.

4. We click on the button Install theme file, a window will open (as a Browse) through which we will search for the file we downloaded.

5. We select it in the menu and click on Apply.

I leave some photos for you to understand better:

And voila, it will be installed and configured 😀

If you use Chakra Linux, here you also have the possibility to use one like this:

Download Simple Chakra KSplash

And ... that of Chakra the truth is better, because the logo appears (the petals) as the desktop is loading 🙂

Once again haha, another excellent contribution from mcder 😀

Greetings and enjoy, since yesterday I use the Arch : )

Yes ... ¬_¬ ... the truth is that the Chakra one with that effect of showing the petals of the logo is very cool ... ggggrrrr and Arch's doesn't have anything that cool ¬_¬

Maybe it would be good to make Arch appear with 0% transparency, then while loading it to have 30%, 40%, 50% transparency, and then decrease the transparency once more from 50% to 40%, 30%, 0%. What would that be cool? … Arch's logo blinking haha 😀

mcderHow complex would it be to do that friend?

Will it be difficult to make similar splash for other distros?

        1.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

          Not at all 😀
Modify these and put the logo of Kubuntu, Pardus or other distros is not complicated 🙂 Any request? 😀

I use the simple chakra, I love it, the minimalist blue chakra desktop background and kdm helium one, the transition from kdm until the desktop loads is great. Everything is work → mcder

This is the only thing that the Caledonia suite lacks, the default splash is too minimalist, so with the right bar and logo it is 100!

    Thank you.

KZKG^Gaara, do you know of some pages to download walls with a resolution of 1024×1366, with good walls to enjoy in chakra? Greetings to the whole community desdelinux.net
