I had been following it with RC3, and they say that this new branch of libreoffice improves the import of microsoft formats, for those who were complaining about docx ...

Hopefully that person we know who he is is already happy

Sure you will find new problems, but that does not remove the fact that they have done a great job, and that they continue to improve support for these proprietary formats.

Only Gentoo and Slackware are perfect

I think it does not take any improvement, I just tested it with the .docx and with the tables, spacing and some fonts theme, it continues to deform the document mhh ..

Well, since you and I have the same problem (the bad host) we understand each other so you should use it so that your teachers use LibreOffice and thus not use Word hahaha

    Pufff, what excellent news:

Good news. The truth is that this suite is getting better and better, and it does the job mostly well, at least in my case I don't miss MS Office at all.

It paints very good, although I am still waiting for a facelift in the interface. But anyway, for me, who only use writer to work, it's the best office suite (even better than Word and its shitty ribbon, a nightmare for writers).

Two things that in my opinion LO still lacks to be perfect:
-Possibility to choose between the classic interface and a new one with an air to the «Ribbon».
-Better compatibility with files .docx, xlsx, etc (I know that it is very difficult to achieve, but anyway ...).
