NuTyX has two branches:

The NuTyX package manager is called CARDS and it is specially developed for the NuTyX distribution.

Recently this Linux distribution was updated and comes with its new version NuTyX 10.4 which adds new features and above all a large number of system package updates.

This new version of NuTyX 10.4 comes with updated versions of the card package manager, the Linux kernel, Firefox and LibreOffice.

NutyX 10.4 comes with Linux kernel 4.14.78 LTS (4.9.114 32-bit edition of), glibc 2.28 GCC 8.2.0, Binutils 2.30, Python 3.7.0, the X.Org 1.20 server.1, Qt 5.11. 2, GTK + 3.24.1, GIMP 2.10.6, Plasma 5.12.6 LTS (on the 64-bit edition), kf5 5.50.0 (on the 64-bit edition), MATE 1.20.1, Xfce 4.12.3, Firefox 62.0 0.3.

A second Linux kernel is available for people who want to use the latest kernel version 4.17.11. NuTyX 10.3 users are invited to upgrade.

The EFI installation has been improved, but is still experimental and limited. The installer now has two installation modes: simple and advanced.

The graphical interfaces available are: Plasma 5, MATE, Xfce, LXDE, flwm, JWN, Mouse, Blackbox, Fluxbox, Openbox, bspwm, IceWM, twm.

NuTyX is available in two editions, a minimal ISO and one with the MATE desktop environment.
