NuTyX is a French Linux distribution that was built from Linux From Scratch and Beyond Linux From Scratch along with a custom package management system called "cards".
The launch eIt is designed for intermediate and advanced Linux users. The distribution's package manager can install individual binary packages, a group of related binary packages (for example, desktop packages such as KDE or Xfce), and compile source packages of "sizes".
It is a great operating system for people who want to commit to developing their skills and learning how a Linux system is formed.

NuTyX offers the following desktop environments, of which you can choose one of themAmong them we can highlight LXQt, MATE, LXDE, KDE5 and XFCE in binary form.
The ISO image available for download contains a basic system. Its size is kept below 300 Mbytes.
A second larger iso image can be downloaded, containing the base system + the Xorg server + the graphics package manager flcards. The proposed desktop environment is MATE.
It is also important to mention that an installation script available for download allows NuTyX to be installed from another GNU / Linux distribution with a compatible shell.. The script will install a basic system.
NuTyX has two branches:
- One that receives updates from the mobile branch and continues with the latest packages.
- The other version is fixed and is updated approximately every 3 months.
The NuTyX package manager is called CARDS and it is specially developed for the NuTyX distribution.
As well It is available in a graphic version under the name flcards. flcards allows installation, removal of packages and collection. It is also a simplified way to search for packages for a user.

What's new in NuTyX 10.4
Recently this Linux distribution was updated and comes with its new version NuTyX 10.4 which adds new features and above all a large number of system package updates.
This new version of NuTyX 10.4 comes with updated versions of the card package manager, the Linux kernel, Firefox and LibreOffice.
NutyX 10.4 comes with Linux kernel 4.14.78 LTS (4.9.114 32-bit edition of), glibc 2.28 GCC 8.2.0, Binutils 2.30, Python 3.7.0, the X.Org 1.20 server.1, Qt 5.11. 2, GTK + 3.24.1, GIMP 2.10.6, Plasma 5.12.6 LTS (on the 64-bit edition), kf5 5.50.0 (on the 64-bit edition), MATE 1.20.1, Xfce 4.12.3, Firefox 62.0 0.3.
A second Linux kernel is available for people who want to use the latest kernel version 4.17.11. NuTyX 10.3 users are invited to upgrade.
The EFI installation has been improved, but is still experimental and limited. The installer now has two installation modes: simple and advanced.
The graphical interfaces available are: Plasma 5, MATE, Xfce, LXDE, flwm, JWN, Mouse, Blackbox, Fluxbox, Openbox, bspwm, IceWM, twm.
NuTyX is available in two editions, a minimal ISO and one with the MATE desktop environment.
