Tips: Change the icon of the Deadbeef tray

Deadbeef it is one of my favorite audio players when in GTK environments. The icon Deadbeef It cannot be uglier, at least on the tray it is ugly, ugly, but ugly. The idea is to bring this:

to this (look at the left side of the Choqok icon):

Doing that is simple. We just have to open dead beef and go to Edit »Preferences» Plugins »GTK2 user interface» Configure »Custom status icon and put the name of the icon that we want, for example amarok which is the icon that you see in the image.

Of course, the name has to be from an icon (without the extension) that is available in the icon theme that we are using by default. Also, as is logical and if you prefer, put an icon that identifies an audio player (ex: amarok, rhythmbox, banshee, audacious).

Simple, right?

I don't understand why you use that GTK app when you use Qt O_O

I don't use Gtk applications in Qt except Pidgin, Firefox, and Thunderbird. Just that for the example, I installed DeadBeef in KDE.
