Top new GNU/Linux Distros to be recognized in 2024 – Part 7
After a few days of the last publication (sixth) of the series related to our regular Top of new GNU/Linux Distros, where we present some interesting alternatives for free and open operating systems based on Linux, today we will address 3 new more calls: Linux Arcade, Arkane Linux and HeliumOS. In order to complete those known during the months of January and February of this year 2024, within the waiting list of the well-known DistroWatch website, they wait while they are recognized and then be disseminated as modern, complete and stable projects.

- Actual state: It is a multi-year project that offers a website with little technical information, but in a clear way.
- brief description: It is a light, compact and very intuitive OS, ideal for playing retro video games through a collection of software (Retroarch) designed to emulate retro arcade and video game console games.
Arkane Linux

- Base: ArchLinux.

- Primary use: Ideal for daily use on modern mid-range and high-end desktop computers.
- Actual state: In full development and with a website with clear and precise information on the project's objectives.
- brief description: It is an immutable OS with atomic and multi-root updates, with 2 new and advanced apps called Arkane and Arkdep, intended for managing a collection of implementations (installations/configurations).
HeliumOS

- Base:Debian.

- Latest version released: HeliumOS Alpha 1.0 February 2024.
- Desktops (DE/WM): KDE Plasma.
- Primary use: Ideal for daily use on modern mid-range and high-end desktop computers.
- Actual state: It is a very recent project, with a very nice website, but with little technical information available.
- brief description: It is an ideal OS for basic home and office users, inspired by immutable style distributions with the aim of providing reliability and ease of use to its users.

In short, we hope that these new free and open operating systems explored and released today, and whose names are Linux Arcade, Arkane Linux and HeliumOS, have formed an interesting «Top of new GNU/Linux Distros to be recognized in 2024 (Part 7) ».
