Tutorial: Learning to Vectorize with Inkscape

Vector… what is a vector? ... a vector, or vector image, is one that (explained in a simple way) can be enlarged EVERYTHING they want, and it does not distort a bit, does not lose quality, and surprisingly weighs much less (KBs) than a similar one in another format .

I want to share a tutorial (PDF) that I found a while ago in the MCAnime forums, where it is explained in detail what a vector is, its advantages, and how to convert a normal image to a vector, saving a lot of space and gaining a lot in terms of quality.

It is used obviously Inkscape, it has many images and everything is explained in a really simple way 😀

Learn to draw with vectors (tutorial by Kurobyte)

Enjoy it, I have to learn to vectorize some images hahahaha ... my avatar for example 😀

regards

Coming down, let's see if this improves my inkscape skills. Thanks for sharing!

At first glance it seems that it is quite good and didactic. Now, I can't ignore that the writing is awful. If I could somehow modify the pdf, I would gladly fix this in the document. I say it as an outline only, because, before this, I really appreciate this tutorial.
    Greetings.

It happens that the PDF was not made by me, you can download it and correct it with an editing tool, or something like that ... I'm sorry I can't help you much, if I had made the PDF I would give you the ODT without problems, but it is not the case 🙁

    2.    auroszx said

You can do it with pdfedit 😛 I remember seeing it in Synaptic a long time ago ...

Inkscape also uses x11 on osx and it looks awful uu, I'll have to use corel draw and inkscape when on linux

Stop the bullshit that I used Inkscape on Mac without any problem, what you have to do is not think about those fagots.

      1.    pandev92 said

Appearance is the most important thing for me, so the ugly will not enter my pc XD

        1.    Courage said

Come on, you prefer a program that sucks that you shit but that is like a hot chick (your tastes are disregarded here) to a superfunctional and powerful prorgam that is uglier than the fat ones that the bald-headed carcamal likes.

          1.    elav <° Linux said

            superfunctional prorgama

            And does this mean? 😀

            1.    elav <° Linux said

Ya .. And what is the rush when writing?

            2.    Courage said

No, if you want, I write at a beats per minute, come on ... ¬¬

If I have an ugly program but it is 10, I don't use it, if I have a nice program but it is 8, then I'll stick with that. The example you set is too heavy.

            1.    Courage said

I'm a metalhead, so that's why I give you those examples, if it had been, you know who would have given you a bit of a fagot hahahaha.

I would like one for Karbon 🙂

    1.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

Uff, I'll see if I find any haha, but I can't assure you… Inkscape is much better known than Karbon, so it's difficult to find tutorials for this second.

too bad inkscape isn't available for Chakra ...

    1.    Courage said

      It can't be, try:

      pacman -S inkscape

    2.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

WTF !! no this? O_O ... not in the official repos, not even in AUR or something like that?

      1.    Courage said

It can't be, it's in Arch's and most of the distros

      2.    sieg84 said

It is in the bundles and ccr chakra-project.org/packages/index.php?act=search&subdir=&sortby=date&order=ascending&searchpattern=inkscape*.cb
        Like gimp, firefox, chromium.
It is not in the official repos because it is gtk +

    3.    mdrvro said

I have to say that it is better to install those of the ccr because it has been better for me. I know that it is said that the bundles are the same in performance but in my tests I have noticed the performance a little better and especially when I start a program in the compiled programs although there is no quarrel with the bundles.

Well thank you for the tuto that is good KZKG ^ Gaara and you must be partying because Madrid won hahaha and I again with football on a computer page ... well that not everything in this life is a pc hahaha Greetings.

      1.    mdrvro said

      2.    KZKG ^ Gaara said

Could someone explain to me how I do to print gradients in inkscape, ??. I use Linux Mint, and on the screen I see the gradient well but when printing, the colors hardly come out gradients.
