Editor's Note:

Here we are again with another issue of Tuxinfo. As always we try to cover the most current topics, excellent reports, manuals in general. But from this place I did not want to miss a situation that particularly caught my attention.

As everyone will already know, the death of the former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, gave a lot to talk about in the world, people who perhaps did not know about him came out to speak, the news was not stopped in a single newscast, but what most called the attention was the comments of Richard Stallman based on this situation.

Many people from the Apple world criticized Stallman's strong words, not really thinking that he only talks about his actions generated based on Apple's creations. In no case did he speak specifically of Jobs, much less was he satisfied with his death.

This generated that Richard again had to go out to explain his words, and somehow soften his previous words.

As editor of Tuxinfo and personally I believe that all the stir generated by Apple fans were overreactions, since Stallman did not say anything that was different from what he had expressed for many years.

It is understood that Stallman is a person of strong ideals, which make that from his gaze there is only black and white; without being able to get along with any policy other than the one that free software preaches. It may be wrong, or good, but it is their position and we must respect it.

To change the subject, almost at the close of this edition we learned that Mark Shuttleworth himself, in an interview for Zdnet, expressed that next year we will have a new option for smartphones and tablets. Indeed, it will be working on Ubuntu mobile. Excellent news by the way.
