Ubuntu One is now available for Android

Ubuntu One, the Cloud file synchronization and hosting service developed by Canonical and installed by default in Ubuntu, now it is also available for Android.

Ubuntu One allows you to store 2GB for free and file transmission is done through the use of SSL certificates.

Remember that Ubuntu One was only available for Linux (Ubuntu, more specifically). Many users continue to demand the release of versions for Windows (there is a beta version but it is still under development) and why not, a native version for KDE.

The application is now available from Android Market.

I use Dropbox because my work computer has windows. If a version of Ubuntu One for Windows comes out (other than a beta), I'll switch 😛

you ask, I stayed with Dropbox. 🙂

Clear up a curiosity Pablo, because I saw an image on the ubuntu one website of an iphone and a htc hero, I assumed they had been available for a long time, but that you had to hire one of the packages larger than 2gb for the app to synchronize with the ubuntu cloud.

Look, as far as I know, that's not how you say. The android application works fine, even if you haven't bought the upgrade.
    Cheers! Paul.
