    Hello,
    Excellent blog.
Note: for Ubuntu 11 when you do sudo apt ... it says "The umplayer package could not be located"

Hello Pablo, a little information so there is no confusion:

UMPlayer is not a fork of Mplayer, it is just a GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the latter, as are SMPlayer, KMPlayer, etc.

Greetings and very good data as always.

What's more, UMplayer is a fork of SMplayer, and I don't recommend it because it is very unstable, among other things. At the time it became famous because it incorporated the option of using skins to SMplayer, but SMplayer has that and much more today. And the SMPlayer developer is Hispanic (rvm), if one more reason was missing for us to support SMplayer.

Did you think that UMPlayer was a fork of Mplayer? Acho que nao. 🙂
Still, it is a good point to highlight.
    Goal hug! Paul.

The player is not so good, I installed it to check its operation, and it only plays a DVD, it cannot be navigated, as in the vlc handling the functions on the screen, and when loading the subtitles it does not load them and they are not seen ... That a player of the character they are talking about can surely do what I want, if someone helps me it would be great to be able to use this player. Thank you very much !!!
