Very soon Samsung will launch smartphones with Tizen (the successor of MeeGo)

Samsung has confirmed that the first smartphones with operating system Tizen they will start to sell this year. The company has not detailed its launch plans or the models it will offer, but it does say that the distribution will begin this year.

Tizen is the operating system that Samsung and Intel have been working on in recent months. Based on the MeeGo code, Tizen is Samsung's great bet to launch competitive 'smartphones' without depending on developers like Google or Microsoft.

Samsung has managed to become the leading manufacturer in the market for 'smartphones' around the world. The company has seen several of its Android phones become the most popular around the world and its progression has been spectacular.

However, after Google bought the manufacturer Motorola, analysts and experts highlighted the need for Samsung to take precautions and develop its own system.

The South Korean company tried its luck with Bada, its own system, but it does not seem to have had the desired success. For this reason, Samsung has partnered with Intel to take advantage of the work done with Meego - at the time the result of the alliance of the processor manufacturer with Nokia - and thus develop Tizen, an advanced system that can compete with market leaders.

In this way, Tizen is called to be an alternative to Android, iOS and Windows Phone. After months of work, the development of Tizen seems to be well advanced and the company already confirms that the first 'smartphones' will arrive this year.

At the moment there is no data on devices, specifications or distribution plans. However, the fact that it has been confirmed that the first Tizen are close suggests that Samsung will present the developed terminals at the Mobile World Congress. The Barcelona fair could be the starting point for the Tizen catalog, which will try to gain a foothold in the prosperous smartphone market.

.. But if nobody has tried it yet, there are only videos, how are you so sure that it provides a better or even different experience?
