Wallpapers, buttons, Splash and much more at SapphireGD.com

Although some time ago there was talk of a crisis in the Linux blogsphere, all given because several blogs have closed or reduced their activity, the truth is that if some die others are born. Sites that focus or specialize in appearance or in making contributions to improve our desktop environment is not that they abound, on the one hand we have Pimp your Linux and on the other hand to mcder3's blog that from time to time shares us some artwork, well friends, fortunately for all of us not long ago it was born:

sapphiregd.com

This site is from a girl who more than anything, almost 100% of her contributions are purely artwork. In his blog we can find ideas or mockups for PisiLinux, Wallpapers, Splash for Amarok or Gimp, etc. All done with free tools, that is, Inkscape and / or Gimp 😀

I leave you some sample wallpapers that I clarify, they are NOT all by far, but they are the ones that I liked the most ... so they get an idea of their work 😉

In fact, here is the link to visit its wallpapers section:

Wallpapers at SapphireGD.com
SapphireGD.com Index

Although as I said, not everything is wallpapers ... check the site and you will not be disappointed.

Anyway, we need more sites like this and those mentioned above in our network, sites that, as I said, specialize or focus mainly on the appearance of environments, on the look and feel 🙂

Greetings and… what did you think of this site?

Just today I was reading a comment from you in the post of a small blog where one of the editors said goodbye, in it you made 4 criticisms / contributions. The last one was just what you do now. Let a large blog help bring visitors to a new one.
I'm glad you're giving SapphireGB a hand. It is a place where you breathe freshness and originality. I love that oases like this emerge in a linux reality where 70% of blogs only copy or translate notes and there is little of their own generation of content.
    FORCE SapphireGB!

Thank you very much Eduardo !! It is a pleasure to be able to contribute to the linux community some of my work 😉

Exact. Many times the large or more popular sites forget that to reach that level of popularity, in many cases they needed the helping hand of another site. That is why I made this article, to help a site that is starting like SapphireDD that deserves it, that has interesting content and above all: original.

Thanks for your comment, I hope this site is not part of the 70% of the sites you refer to LOL!

Hello to all the community I want to share a problem that I have; It turns out that in view of the fact that in fedora there is no contextual menu that contributes to the formatting of a USB from nautilus I have always done it from the disk manager, the point is that on Thursday while I was formatting a USB I made the mistake and formatted the default device In the disk application, that is, the hard disk, but the real problem is that from that moment on the laptop no longer passes the Bios to me, it stays stuck when loading the Bios and it does not let me boot from usb, or from dvd or from nothing. My disk had default partitions of fedora (LVM) and it was partitioned like this: / Root >> system / boot // boot / efi / swap / home my question is, is the Bios damaged? If the Bios was damaged, the fedora account pc was damaged if it were a desktop computer I would have already removed the battery to reset the Bios but being a laptop I don't even know if it has a battery in addition to how difficult it is to uncover the laptop.
If anyone can suggest something I appreciate it

Arch is a lot of Arch, and as you can see on the blog, apart from PisiLinux since I am in his team for the artwork, my weakness is and will be Arch ... I don't know what he has, but I was fascinated 😀

Great, lately I had a hard time finding original material to dress my desk, in most places they were always around the same or were extremely simple. Great job!!
I just looked at the blog and one already realizes that it has quality.
