WLinux: a Linux distro specially designed for Windows 10

Linux on W10

We all know that Windows 10, which should be the latest Microsoft operating system (because it seems that it will be updated as a Rolling Release distro and they also plan to make Windows a service ...), has many new features, some in my opinion debatable, but perhaps the one that interests the most From the linuxers point of view, it is the integration of certain GNU / Linux distros as part of the Linux subsystem that Microsoft has wanted to offer for the developers of its platform.

The Windows subsystem for Linux in Windows 10 has not stopped receiving distros available from the Microsoft app store. There are already several Linux distributions that you can install and use from the Microsoft operating system as you know. Well, in addition to Ubuntu, Debian, Kali, and other distros for WSL, now WIndows 10 also has a new layout specifically optimized for the Win10 system. It's called WLinux, a Linux distribution that includes WSL-relevant packages and customization to take full advantage of WSL features. The developer himself has expressed that given the level of customization of the Linux distros, he thought of creating a new distribution that better default values of the distros that are already available in the Microsoft store, more modification capacity, possibility of implementing patches more fast, support for most graphical Linux apps, development tools like zsh, Git, Python, etc. This has been expressed by the founder of Whitewater Foundry, who also assure that they will add more features in the future.

It was originally called WinLinux, but now it has been renamed WLinux because there was already another distro named like that. The distribution in question is not free, since It will cost € 19,99, although temporarily it will be offered with an offer that reduces the price by 50%, so you can buy it cheaper if you are interested.
