I have a new job, and since nothing is perfect in this life, something bad had to touch me. Well, the bad thing is that I have Internet, but with an absurd fee ahead which I have to manage very well. The amount? Better not say it, that does not come to the story. 😛
The point is that I have to save every bit of connection as much as possible, and I have been looking for alternatives to not have to disconnect from the world.
In the day, in addition to DesdeLinuxPerhaps what I check the most is email and I don't like the idea of having to log in to each account, depending on the service, so the best way to save on my Internet consumption is to install myself a notifier for each of them.
There are desktop applications for it, but the PC I use is shared, there are even many more extensions for Firefox, but in the end I was left with X-notify it has support for a lot of services.
Although personally I don't have so many email accounts, X-notify allows us to receive notifications from GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, POP3 / IMAP, Facebook, Twitter and more, that is, all the birds with one stone.
First to install this plugin, let's visit its page in the Mozilla addons gallery:

Finally when it is installed you can add your accounts, configure it.
I leave you three screenshots that the developer shares, because I have not yet been able to install the plugin due to problems with the quota:
Without a doubt, the system of addons, plugins, complements or whatever you want to call it of Mozilla products is wonderful, we can expand the functionalities of the application with just a few clicks, Free Software friends, adapt the software to our needs.
I looked for it in plugins in abrowser and couldn't find it
