Xfce 4.10 release delayed

As I had them commented on one occasion, for these days the version 4.10 my Desktop Environment Favourite: Xfce.

But unfortunately, the release of this new version is delayed (as usual). Yesterday I entered the Xfce Wiki page where is the release schedule and I come across this nice message:

Yes we know the dates do not match anymore. New deadlines will be discussed during Fosdem.

In other words, the planned dates no longer coincide with the development and launch Xfce 4.10. I wrote to the list of Xfce and these were the responses I received about it:

When we // finally // find time to complete the last piece we've decided to include in 4.10. Nick
Nick schermer

Taken from Jannis Pohlmann's blog [1] «[…] We have not decided on a release date, but if things go well, we should be able to roll the first pre-release one month from now, in early March. This would mean that a final release in May or June would be feasible. […] »

So be patient.
Olivier Duchateau

Yes, that was just me guessing though. I'll leave the decision to Nick because (a) he is doing the majority of the work and (b) he is the release manager. And even though I like our release model, I am not willing to push it if others feel uncomfortable, disagree with it in parts or simply do significantly more work than I do.

So: Nick has the last word on this.
Jannis Pohlman

In other words, in short, Nick schermer apparently he is the one who does most of the development of Xfce and he is the one who decides when the next launch will be made. You have to wait, as it says, until the last piece to be included in Xfce 4.10 Be prepared.

To all this I replied that I prefer a 100% finished product and not something launched in a "rush" to meet the scheduled date, but if they were not able to adjust to the calendar, please, do not publish it so that users no foolish illusions.

We all know that the development of Xfce It depends on the time and the desire of its programmers, yes, nothing, we have to wait. : '(

Awwww, they ruined March for me… Ok, no. I wonder what that "function" (or functions) they say they are trying to implement is ...

I imagine they want to take the place that Gnome 2.x left and that is why they want to polish it well

I don't mind waiting if the final product turns out with the least amount of bugs.

surely maybe they no longer depend on hal totally which will make the configuration easier for devices which should be what we are currently dealing with.
