Dx Wine, or how to install DirectX using Wine

dxwine It is an installer similar to Winetricks, which allows you to install DirectX via Wine. At last you will be able use Wine to run all games and programs that require DirectX!

DirectX in Ubuntu 11.04

Don't forget that d3d acceleration, textures, pixel shader, etc. depend on factors such as your video card and the version of Wine you are using.

For more information visit the Wine site, where they show you the compatibility and status of each component.

Installation

1.- Download DxWine.

2.- The rest of the explanation (somewhat extensive), you can find it in the Dx Wine official blog. Also, I leave you this video so you can see how to do it (with a precompiled version).

I'm trying to find a tutorial to run directx on linux and be able to play windows games. But this post did not help me much, I only know that wine is necessary to do it. I have come across an interesting article on this topic. I have done every step and it has worked wonders for me. I will leave you the tutorial and the url to access and have your directx on your linux system. https://www.descargardirectx.com/descargar-e-instalar-directx-en-linux/
