How to disinfect Windows desde Linux

Friend Mukenio alerts us that F-Secure offers a knoppix-based live-cd to remove any malware that you may have in your windows installation. Its use is simple, the live-cd is inserted, it looks for updates from a usb or internet and then it proceeds to analyze the partition / disk with windows.

You can download the live cd from to that (118 MB). It's a zip, you unzip it and inside is the ISO image.

Then burn the ISO to a CD or USB using UnetBootin and boot.

Once the boot is finished, this warning screen appears

Now try to update from the internet or from a pendrive

Once the update is finished, the list of partitions to be scanned is displayed

When you have selected what to scan it shows the progress

And finally, show the final report

There you have it, Linux saving Windows.

The problem is how good it really is, since not even the "best antivirus" on the market can clean all or most viruses.

I always use a live cd to start the windows systems that bring me to the workshop (ubuntu) and now I am going to try this tool since since I read the first linux book (Anaya) it opened my mind regarding several items that are they turn into benefits for customers and consequently, more customers. Thank you.

It does not bounce me, I have used unetbootin, I have rebooted and tested in the bios with all the possible boot configurations for usb and nothing happens.
