The Utilities or Utilities in a Operating system are those small applications designed to perform a determined function. Or in other words, they are simple programs designed to make it easier for users to perform specific tasks on your computer.

In this category KDE Desktop Environment Utilitieshave "KDE Community" has officially developed 37 applications of which we will mention and comment, textually and briefly, the first 10, and then we will mention the remaining 27:
Top 10 apps
- Ark: Graphical file compression and decompression utility that allows the use of various formats, such as tar, gzip, bzip2, rar and zip, as well as CD-ROM images. In addition, it can be used to explore, extract, create and modify compressed files.
- Calcium: Convergent Calculator for Plasma.
- Filelight: Application to view the disk usage of your computer. And among its many functions, it allows you to explore local, remote and removable drives. In addition to navigating through the file system using mouse clicks.
- KAlarm: KDE personal message alarm, command and mail scheduler application. Its features include the following: It offers alarms using its own text message, and allows audible and repetitive alarms that are easily configurable and programmable.
- Kate is a text editor generated by KDE that can open several documents at the same time and that has several view modes.

- KTimer: Tool to run programs after a certain time.
- KTimeTracker: App for tracking personal time spent on various tasks and projects.
- KTrip: Application that helps to navigate through information related to public transport.
