What is Variety?

Currently, Variety is described by its developer in its Official website, as follows:

Today, Variety goes for the version number 0.8.5, and among the functionalities it has today are the following:

• When supported, Variety sits like a tray icon to allow easy pause and resume. Otherwise, its input menu on the desktop provides a similar set of options.
• It includes a range of image effects, such as oil painting and blur, as well as options for placing quotes and a clock in the background.
• It comes with installers and supports for Arch Linux, Debian 9+, Fedora, OpenSUSE, and Ubuntu 16.04+.

Note: For this practical example of how to use Variety + Pywal we have used as usual, a Custom respin de MX Linux, LLAMADA Miracles, so the explained procedure will be adapted to the Desktop Environment (Desktop Enviroment - DE) called XFCE.
